What Is It?

Guests can expect various composers, artists, sopranos and more showcasing their skills at the various venues during this festival. This year’s edition pays tribute to folkloristic influences in classical music and explores the relationship between chosen national, regional or local inspiration, and a given compositional framework. Classical composer patrons include Schubert, de Falla, Bartok, Dvorak, Grieg, Vaughan Williams and Piazzolla as well as German folk songs and a New Music collaboration with a re-mixing of Western and African art music.
