Calling all Mompreneurs!

Join the Living & Loving/Standard Bank ‘Mompreneur’ workshop and learn about networking, growing your business, balancing your work with family life and creating a successful image.

Component One

LEARN TO MASTER THE ART OF NETWORKING under guidance from Helen Nicholson.

You will learn to raise your visibility through the development of your own personal brand, where to go to expand your network as well as the savvy networking secrets of other “Mompreneurs”. Women are natural networkers, so learn how to translate this skill into making your business grow.

Who is Helen Nicholson?

Helen Nicholson studied to be an accountant at Wits University and has evolved into a passionate entrepreneur. She specialises in personal branding, marketing one’s business and in helping business people expand and develop their business networks.

Component Two

LEARN TO CREATE THE IMAGE YOU WANT TO PROJECT under guidance from Madelein Greyling, a Senior Certified Chata Romano Image Consultant.

Your image is the most powerful tool to a successful future. Research shows that 80% of people’s ‘value judgment’ made is created through the image you project and you never get a second chance to make a first impression! So you’ll need to know about the importance of colour (hair, make-up and clothing), style solutions for all body shapes, understanding the different dress codes and the fundamentals of wardrobe planning. This is a visual and interactive workshop, where the main objective is to provide effective image-building solutions, resulting in increased self-confidence.

Who is Madelein Greyling?

Madelein is a regular guest speaker at corporate seminars and fund-raising events, where audiences vary from executives and politicians to housewives and moms, and she encourages women to make their own personal statement and find individuality through the image they project.

Component Three

BALANCING YOUR WORK WITH FAMILY LIFE under guidance from Andrea Du Plessis.

The talk will be about the multiple roles of motherhood and how to get dads involved too. Plus, the amount of time you should spend with your children (quality time vs quantity).

Who is Andrea Du Plessis?

After 14 years in the corporate world, Andrea decided to complete her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, with her thesis being on “Career women’s first experience of motherhood”. This subject is still her passion and today she helps women come to terms with their career and motherhood identities. In 2005 she appeared on Carte Blanche, speaking on the topic of “supermom a myth?”. She is now in private practice, in all areas of psychology.
