The Old Parktonian Sports Clubs is one of the oldest and most established sporting facilities in the city. Built on 14 hectares, the grounds include two cricket ovals, 14 cricket nets, three soccer fields, two hockey fields, three tennis courts with a clubhouse, three indoor soccer courts, a gymnasium, two bowling greens, a clubhouse, pub, the Heritage Bar and 200 secure parking bays – it’s basically an athlete’s happy place! Urban Sports – Emmarentia
Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness, better your game or just want to get outdoors and meet new people, Urban Sports in the place to be. Focused mainly on soccer league games, they are situated in Marks Park and their facilities include safe and secure parking, changing rooms for players, spectator seating, as well as a bar and restaurant if you’re looking to round off your game with a drink or something yum. Marks Park Sports Club – Emmarentia
Even though Marks Park Sports Club is home to Urban Sports, it also offers a variety of interactive and fun sports like archery, chamber running, baseball, croquet, kettlebells, tennis, Tae-Kwon-Do and even dog training. The club has also become a hot spot for big annual events such as the 702 Walk the Talk, the Jozi Craft Beer Fest, the iThemba Avon Walkathon, and Park Life.
