Emperors Palace is hosting the foot tapping, finger clicking, sing-a-long tunes of the fantastic stage show SOLOuette! The show celebrates solo artists from the past and present who were involved in a band, but broke away to make it big on their own.
A number of artists we see on TV or hear on radio were once part of a band or a group. They were all secure in the fact that they had fellow peers to help them with the pressures of fame and that with support they would conquer the world together. History often shows, that sooner or later the desire to go solo takes over and many groups break up to produce solo artists who in their own rights are as famous, if not more, than the band that they were once part of.
Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, George Michael, Beyoncé, Diana Ross, Justin Timberlake, Phil Collins and John Lennon are just a few of the artists who became household names and yet they all started off at the same point…. as part of a duo, band or group.
SOLOuette is a tribute to the artists that made it big and then went on to what they hoped would be super stardom as a solo artist. They dared to face the fear of doing it alone.
