Chefs Yohann Saumande and Beatrix Thornhill, at EB Social Kitchen & Bar in Hyde Park, have collaborated to create a scintillating five-course menu, inspired by and paired with premium whiskey brand, Johnny Walker Green Label.
Biltong and truffle cream soup, duck breast carpaccio and a succulent lamb rump are some of the dishes that will excite dad through the roof. And the chosen whiskey for the day, Johnny Walker Green Label, has been perfectly paired with each dish so that he can sit back, unwind and enjoy. “Our Father’s Day menu is designed to be a holistic food experience, engaging all five senses, while being perfectly paired with one of the world’s finest whiskey brands” says chef Beatrix.

EB Social Kitchen & Bar’s creativity knows no bounds! Impress dad with biltong and coffee soup, truffle cream, and sesame crostini for starters.
Perfectly paired with Johnny Walker Green Label, the cold plate consists of medjool dates with walnuts, dates, cream cheese, wrapped in smoked salmon and rounded off with paprika lemon dressing.
To soothe dad’s soul EB Social Kitchen & Bar has included a smoked duck breast carpaccio plated with roasted butternut, a cocoa nib dressing and drops of balsamic reduction.
To round off the mains, spoil dad with a josperised (grilled and baked at the same time) lamb rump rubbed in bobotie Spice served with rosemary potatoes, root veggies and completed with a apricot lamb jus.
Almost too pretty to eat. The Father’s Day dessert at EB Social Kitchen & Bar in Hydepark Corner consists of nougat parfait and spicy chocolate Sauce.
