Sun City Gears Up for Bestmed Cycle4CANSA!

Cyclists, it’s that time yet again! The Bestmed Cycle4CANSA is back, so make sure you register for this epic event before 13 August 2018.

It’s Time To Gear Up!

Sun International’s Sun City is gearing up for the 21st annual Bestmed Cycle4CANSA this August 2018! This annual sports event raises much-needed funds and awareness for CANSA’s research, education, patient care as well as support programmes in the North West and Limpopo provinces.

The Bestmed Cycle4Cansa weekend is one of the most highly anticipated sporting events on the Sun City calendar. Every year, thousands of cyclists flock to this exciting event to test their mettle and make their contribution to a worthy cause.

When Is It?

The Bestmed Cycle4Cansa Classic takes place on 26 August 2018. It features both road and mountain bike challenges on one of the flattest and most scenic routes through the North West Province. Road safety for the riders is always a top priority for the organisers and Sun City, therefore various road closures in and around Sun City will be implemented.

Route & Distance

The 103km and 70km events get under way from 06:30.

The R510 – between the R556 and Monakato which riders access after 20km on the route – will be closed between 06:00 and midday.

The 25km and 50km mountain bike races on 25 August 2018 pass through the Gary Player and Lost City Golf Courses, as well as the neighbouring Letsatsing Game Reserve.
