Unfortunately, restaurants and canines don’t always go together. But, believe it or not, there are a few spots in Jozi where you can take your dog along to enjoy a meal with you. Here’s our list of Top 10 Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Joburg.

Vovo Telo (Sandton)

If it’s artisan bread, frothy flat whites and oh-so-yummy pastries you’re after, you can’t go wrong with Vovo Telo at the Lonehill Shopping Centre. You can sip on a delicious salted caramel latte, while your furry friend drinks from a water bowl provided. Sit outside and enjoy the sun’s warmth with your pooch.

Café Hemingway’s (Kyalami)

This magnificent spot is a fascinating marriage of a bistro, a patisserie and a fine-dining establishment. While being elegant it doesn’t lose the accessibility of light meals, sandwiches and bakery treats. However, each dish is an artistic expression. The charming, spacious deck with Joburg’s bright sun shining in between the drapes is open to you and your pet. He or she will thank you for the water and treats provided. This is a wonderful, calm space for you and your special dog to enjoy some time to bond.

  1. Special Knead- a coffee shop run by special needs adults are opening up in Kyalami. Pastry chef is special needs . It’s part of Sandton Doggy Daycare , the Kyalami branch. Maple rd next to Beaulieu College.
