What Is It?
This is a tour you don’t want to miss, especially if you’re a big fan of the history of the city! Have you ever heard of the flamboyant couple, Colonel John Dale Lace, and his wife, Josephine Dale Lace (Jose in short)? Jose was the socialite in the early Joburg of the Randlords – the mining magnates of the early gold rush. Due to popular demand, here’s your chance to join Micro-Adventure Tours as they explore this couple’s prominent 52-room stunner of a house.
The curator will share plenty of intriguing stories about this mansion and its interesting owner. Other than the history and insightful tales, it also has some stunning views from its perch on the Parktown Ridge. The tour takes between 3 – 4 hours, and id certainly not to be missed. The meeting point will be set at the Northwards parking area at 21 Rockridge Road.
